Friday FLAW-Day: The 2nd Edition

Remember: Ripped Jeans (Flaws) = Character!

Happy Friday! Not only do you have 2 days of weekend bliss to look forward to, but also, you get to read about more of my “flaws.” As you’ll recall, last week I promised to share a few of these every Friday, because I truly do feel it’s our flaws/quirks that make us special. Here are a couple more of my unique characteristics:

Fab Flaw #4: My Perfect Sunday

My idea of a perfect Sunday consists of lying on a couch all day and watching a mix of reality television and romantic comedies while eating an entire bag of pretzels dipped in cream cheese. Choice reality television shows would include: Jersey Shore, the Bachelor and Real Housewives of NYC. Choice movies would include: The Notebook, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (I secretly wish I was Andie Anderson) and The Cutting Edge. I have plenty more but I’ll save it for a another post…

Me and Kate Hudson totally look alike...

I could eat this whole bag in 20 minutes easily....

PRETZELS AND CREAM CHEESE + COUCH + CHEESY MOVIE = UTOPIA

Fab Flaw #5: I truly feel that Disney World is most magical place in the world..

In fact, I loved it so much that I decided to run my first marathon there back in 2007. I couldn’t have been happier that I chose Disney for the first and recommend it to anyone considering a marathon. I mean, what can be more enchanting than running 26.2 miles in the happiest place on earth! (PS – Janae mentioned wanting to run in the Disney Marathon yesterday, and I say do it!) After the marathon was over, I insisted on going to It’s a Small World, my favorite ride from my childhood…it wasn’t quite as cool as I remembered. Nevertheless, I still feel Disney World is a must-visit for both kids and adults!

Fab Flaw #6: I am from Nebraska…but I don’t really like football.

There. I said it. Good thing I haven’t told many of my friends from Nebraska about this blog yet! Football rules my beloved state! While I was raised in Nebraska, my parents were born and raised in Chicago, and I grew up in the Jordan era. Thus, basketball is my sport of choice. I’m also kind of a fair-weather fan. When I lived in Chicago for college and after, I rooted for the Bulls. Now that I’m in New York, I say GO KNICKS!

Go Big Red! I mean Bulls...

FAB FLAW #7: I am scared of flying (although I do it)

So unless I’m traveling for business, I generally drink a few cocktails when I fly. Time of day is irrelevant, as long as one of the airport bars is open. If it’s a morning flight, I go with a bloody mary; an afternoon flight is a glass of wine and an evening flight is a few nice draft beers. Before I turned 21, I hated to fly. Now, once the booze hits, every flight is a new adventure :-).

When it comes to flying, a tipsy Jamie = a happy Jamie

Your Turn: What are you favorite flaws/quirks about yourself?

Tune in later when I post how a Sometimes Healthy Girl preps her apartment for weekend house guests (I go ALL out)!

5 Thoughts on “Friday FLAW-Day: The 2nd Edition

  1. Cinnamon Raisin Pretzels & Cream Cheese=yum! Though I’ve never tried it, I want to now. My weird quirk is that I could eat jelly forever– not jam, only the fully sweetened types with real fruit chunks. I used to put it into a bowl and eat it with a spoon when I was younger…I still eat it by the spoonful from time to time 🙂
